* The guitar Delaney is holding in the above picture is a very rare Rosewood Telecaster given to him by George Harrison. After a show at the Royal Albert Hall George gave this guitar to Delaney and said "I want you to have this for what you've done for me". Delaney still plays and cherishes this rare piece, he uses it mostly for slide work. Note: These statements were true at the time of the magazine article. The guitar is now in the possession of George Harrison's widow, Olivia.

* The old sunburst Stratocaster and the red baby Les Paul once belonged to Duane Allman who was one of Delaney's very best friends. Recently FENDER'S custom shop turned an exact duplicate of the Duane Strat out for Delaney. He's still playing Duane's during recording sessions.

* The old metal Pre-Decal National had joint ownership for a time between Delaney and his longtime friend Eric Clapton. The guitar was given to them while on tour in the deep South by an old man who said it belonged to his father. He told D and E while he couldn't play, he knew his father would approve of them having it the way he saw them play. Eric eventually knew Delaney loved it so much that he told Delaney to keep it. Delaney plays it on several cuts on his new release.
